Bio
I am a Mexican feminist woman and voluntary immigrant living, learning, and working in the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
I have around 5 years of counseling experience in Mexico. Much of my experience has been with youth and young adults facing mental health challenges connected to their social and relational contexts. I am deeply passionate about mental health and remain committed to continuous learning and growth in my practice.
In our sessions together, you can expect a transparent, warm, curious, and playful energy. I value congruence and authenticity and strive to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which we work together to establish and move toward your goals. Don’t worry, I will guide you through the process while respecting your pace and autonomy.
My philosophy of therapy is grounded in humanistic theory, recognizing each person as the expert of their own life. I truly believe that we are all doing the best we can with the resources and experiences that are available to us.
I hope we can create a brave, supportive, and culturally respectful space together where you feel safe to explore your experiences and move toward the changes that matter most to you.
