Bio

Jayne (she/her) is a white, working-turned-middle-class, gender-fluid, queer settler. She is grateful to be living, practicing, and raising her family on the traditional and unceded territories of the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam) peoples.

Jayne is passionate about the therapeutic relationship and will provide a healing space that is warm, welcoming, safe and respectful. Jayne works from an intersectional and transgenerational framework. Her approach to counselling is relational, strengths-based, collaborative, culturally informed, trauma-informed, and unbiased.

For many years, Jayne has worked with equity-deserving folks for many years, including Indigenous clients, sex workers, houseless people and people who use substances. Humanistic, solution-focused, attachment and emotion-focused approaches guide Jayne’s practice.

In the therapeutic space, Jayne sees her clients as experts in their own lives, and her role is as a collaborative partner, supporting clients to heal, grow, and live their best, most authentic lives.

Jayne looks forward to working with adult, romantic and/or sexual partners, and youth clients. Jayne is dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe space for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ clients. Areas of professional interest include attachment and relationships, existential exploration, gender and sexuality, anxiety and relationship counselling.

Jayne is a devoted parent who loves spending time with her family and friends. She loves to cook and be outside as much as possible with her beautiful dog Diego.
