I come from Irish and Scottish settler roots, as well as queer and spoonie chosen family. I am a guest - living, working, and growing - in the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of ‘the land of plenty’ since time immemorial.

I have lived experience as a nonbinary, queer, disabled and neurodivergent human. Co-organizing with peers on creative projects (dance, film, gardens, cooking, and others) has brought me much joy for over a decade. As a pre-licensed counsellor, my style so far has been described as warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. Together, we’ll map a counselling process led by your needs, lived experience, and goals. I am honoured to accompany people on their chosen path of growth and change, and to co-create safe-enough zones in a world that imposes shame, disconnection, and distress. I am energized to work alongside folks who seek to live in alignment with their values. I welcome all folks who want to work with me, and providing an affirming, accessible, and COVID-conscious space for 2SLGBTQ+ and disabled people is my focus.

I am guided by intersectional feminisms, disability justice, mad activism and peer support, as well as by queer, trans, kink and polyamory communities. I am engaging in lifelong learning around my role as a treaty partner in settler-colonial ‘Canada,’ and am continually informed by decolonial and anti-racist practices. It’s my intention to apply these to my own bodyheartmind, to my relationships, and to the world around me – and my learning is nonlinear; attunement, course-correction and repair are important to me. I am continually gaining experience in nonpathologizing modalities with client autonomy and choice at the center, including Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work) and Narrative, as well as body-based approaches.

I am indebted to lineages of abolition, transformative justice, and harm reduction for informing my practice. I deeply appreciate the creatives, thinkers, writers, and activists across multiple communities, and my friends, who have helped shape my practice and my life.

Outside of counselling, I enjoy visiting trees and bodies of water, drinking hot tea, hanging out with my kitty Zelda, re-watching TV shows, finding delight in stuffed animals and finger puppets, and slowly learning ASL.
