Bio

Hello and welcome! I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor working from an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and harm reductive approach that considers collective and community healing. I live and work as a settler on the unceded and stolen territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking people.

I identify as a queer, non-disabled, Hāfu, cis-woman and I strive to bring art, creativity, and embodiment to my practice. In our sessions together, you can expect gentle affirmation and validation of your lived experiences with incorporation of the structural and systemic factors that impact and oppress us.

Outside of counselling, I am a creative writer, a nature and animal lover, a community organizer, and a fledgling painter. I live with two cats (allergy alert for in-person sessions), run a campaign school for underrepresented people, and am a City Councillor in New Westminster. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on leadership and communication.

I would love to work with:

  • People in leadership positions, whether in politics, labour, arts, or community work

  • Those involved in making positive change in the world

  • Queer and racialized folks navigating how to show up as themselves in an often-painful world

  • People interested in incorporating nature-based therapy

Image Description: Nadine is centered in the photo, smiling warmly wearing pink lipstick. A small nose ring and pendant necklace are visible. Her long, dark hair flows past her shoulders, and is accented with streaks of purple. She is dressed in a light blue, floral-patterned wrap over a pastel yellow top. The background is softly blurred, filled with lush green foliage.
