Relationship Counselling

Mich has experience and interest in working with folks in relationships- romantic/sexual, familial, friendship, colleagues, and more. Mich’s work focuses on deepening self-awareness, and identifying ‘problem’ patterns that develop between people in order to reach resolution and re-establish connection.

Individual Counselling

Mich often works with individuals experiencing things like anxiety, depression, identity and gender exploration, neurodivergent-related issues, sexual exploration, trauma, self-esteem and grief. Mich has also worked in veterinary medicine for 20 years, and has a deep understanding and appreciation for the human-animal bond. They have experience in supporting folks in the veterinary and animal-care community, as well as assisting folks in preparation for a pet’s death, and grief in pet loss.

Things you can expect when working with Mich:

  • An intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed perspective. Their work is collaborative and non-judgmental.

  • Consent at all times. You are the expert in your own life, and have full control over what we talk about (or don’t talk about) in therapy.

  • Transparency. There is no secret analysis happening behind the scenes. Mich strives to co-create a healing space that works for you.

  • Laughter. Mich firmly believes in the power of levity and laughter, and welcomes that in their therapeutic work.

Mich is a queer, non-binary/genderqueer, neurodivergent, straight-sized, non-disabled, white immigrant living on the unceded traditional and ancestral homelands of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Mich is centered in the photo smiling with their teeth with their hands in their pockets. They have short brown hair, a nose ring, and are wearing a green button-up long sleeved collared shirt with black pants. In the background, sun rays light up tree branches and green leaves, which are blurred. Photo credit www.roughclub.ca/
