At the core of my therapeutic approach is meeting individuals where they are in their journey. Healing is not linear, and I hope to stand by folks through the ups and downs. I approach the therapeutic process with empathy, curiosity, genuineness, connection, and safety. Sessions are expected to bring a sense of openness to encourage individuals to speak their truth and develop a sense of empowerment. Counseling can support individuals through many challenges, bringing up difficult emotions—taking this step is significant in itself.
I acknowledge that I am a settler on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. I am grateful to live, work, and play on this land. My cultural background is Indo-Fijian, and I can communicate in Fijian Hindi. My previous experience includes working with newcomers and refugees to Canada. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome individuals of all backgrounds. I am a Muslim woman of color, and my lens is multicultural and social justice based. The things that bring me peace in life include listening to music, doing my makeup, creating art, journaling, and spending time with loved ones, animals, and plants. My approach takes into consideration culture, religion, and spirituality. I aim to orient towards person-centered, multicultural, emotion-focused, and trauma-informed sessions.
My areas of interest are:
Newcomers, Refugees
LGBTQ+ Friendly

Trauma
*These are my areas of interest, but I am keen on working with all challenges folks may need support with.
