Austin Lee, RCC

Bio

Hi there, I’m Austin Lee (he/they), a multi-racial, non-binary, gay, and neurodivergent counsellor who is passionate about creating safe and affirming spaces where people can explore and embrace their authentic selves. My practice is grounded in a sex-positive, anti-colonial, and trans-feminist lens, and guided by a harm-reductive approach that meets clients where they are while honouring their unique lived experiences.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), narrative therapy, and trauma-informed approaches in my work. My focus is on supporting adults and adolescents navigating identity, gender, and neurodivergence, as well as those processing trauma, religious harm, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or complex life transitions.

I am deeply committed to belonging, equity, and justice, with a particular passion for working alongside 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and marginalized communities. My training in gender-affirming care has included clinical supervision for hormone readiness assessments, supporting my ability to provide affirming and ethical care for trans and non-binary clients.

Most recently, I became fully registered as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, in addition to my approval as a Canadian Certified Counsellor. This registration reflects an important step in my professional practice and continued commitment to ethical, accountable, and affirming counselling care.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy collecting plants, rocks and gems, spending time in nature, baking, gaming, writing poetry, and sharing moments with my loved ones. These passions enrich my perspective and help me stay grounded in curiosity, compassion, and growth. I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your path to healing and self-discovery.
