Luisa Ospina is an artist, art therapist, and activist currently living in Vancouver, Canada. She was born in Medellín, Colombia and immigrated to the United States as an adolescent where she resided in Miami, Florida. She received her BA in Psychology and Art from Florida International University, and her MA in Art Therapy and Counseling from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Luisa's comprehensive artistic practice emphasizes the relationship between the personal, the public, and systems of oppression. Her art process further develops her capacity to be introspective and self-reflective, and informs her therapist identity. She is interested in issues surrounding gender, femininity, sexuality, and aspects of difference and belonging.
